That’s right, Seed was reformulated in a special edition to continue boosting the Minas Gerais ecosystem of startups and development in our state. Now, startups accelerated by Seed will also be able to contribute to solving public challenges in Minas Gerais.
With this return, we reframed some of the program’s guidelines and expanded our operations.
Thus, in addition to spreading knowledge throughout the state and promoting entrepreneurship in Minas Gerais, this Special Edition aims to integrate public obstacles with innovative technological solutions. With this, launch a more efficient and satisfactory public management model for citizens.
However, we continue with the same purpose of encouraging entrepreneurship focused on innovative businesses in Minas Gerais.
And we are not alone. In this edition, we have the support of relevant partners in the Minas Gerais innovation ecosystem to carry out the selection and acceleration stages of the program. Our methodology remains the same, but now we count on the experiences of IEBT, FUNDEP and BHTEC to deliver an even more complete program for you.

Of course, some conditions have been changed. We list for you the main shift points. But, it is very important and indispensable to access the announcement and stay on top of the details:
- This time, up to 60 startups will be able to participate in the program. However, only the top 40 will be able to complete the acceleration. This is because, at the end of the second month of the program, we will have a 33% cut in projects.
- Registration will be divided into two themes. There will be 90% startups to meet solutions related to public challenges and up to 10% for open acceleration, in case of reaching the 60 selected startups.
- The selected startups will be able to decide how to spend the R$ 80000, without dividing or restricting the amount between the team and the solution.
- Startups enrolled in Theme 1 (Public Challenges) will be able to test and validate their solutions in the government environment, and the best solutions can be incorporated by the State for six months.
- We have recreated our meeting models and adapted to the current world stage. In this way, they will be digital and accessible until the end of the pandemic. Follow the news in our feed on how to be part of it.
